Profile

I started painting and drawing as a child with my grandfather Harold Boyd in Enmore.

I rediscovered my passion for painting and drawing in 2019 when I retired.

Since 2019 I've undertaken drawing and painting classes at the Royal Art Society of NSW, Julian Ashton's Art School and Waverley Woollahra Art School.  I've attended painting workshops with Sally Ryan (figurative), Idris Murphy (landscape), Tim Miller (landscape), John Perkins (landscape), John Wilson (landscape), Kasey Sealy (landscape), Ben Winspear (landscape), Colley Whisson (landscape). In the USA I've attended workshops at Scottsdale Artists School with Camille Przwodek (still life and landscape) and Mitch Baird (landscape).  

In Australia I'm a member of Drummoyne Art society and StGeorge Art Society and I go to weekly en plein air painting sessions with Plein Air Painters of Waverly  (PAPOW) and Plein Air Painters of Sydney. In the USA I'm a member of Arizona Plein Air Painters and have taken part in Paint Arizona Day and painted with the Sonoran Plein Air Painters in Tucson.

Royal Art Society 2020 student art show. President's Award for my still life painting and highly commended for my portrait.

2021
